The problem

Picking a game, teaching it, and pausing to argue over the rules eats the evening. At a venue, that's tables sitting idle or leaving early.

Who it's for

  • Board game cafés, stores, and clubs
  • Families and gaming groups
  • Facilitators using game-based learning

What it does

  • Scan a barcode or snap the box and Table GM builds your shelf and learns your games
  • Tell it who's playing and how long you have; it recommends tonight's game
  • It teaches the rules out loud and settles questions with the exact rule, cited
  • Venue mode: customers scan a QR to browse your shelf, check in on a live board, and play with your AI game master, no app to install
  • Inventory and waitlist, custom branding, and marketing tools for the floor

Five founding venues, six months free

5 spots open

We're looking for five cafés, game stores, or clubs to run Table GM on their floor for six months at no cost and tell us what works and what doesn't. That's the full Venue plan, worth $600, with QR check-in, the live engagement board, and an AI game master your customers play with for free.

  • Six months of the Venue plan free ($99.99/mo, a $600 value)
  • Set-up help from us and a direct line for feedback while you run it
  • Your feedback shapes what gets built next; no obligation when the six months end
  • In return, run it on your floor and tell us honestly how it went

Apply as a founding venue

Tell us about your space. What kind of venue, roughly how many tables, and how often you run game nights.

Table GM is an AI game master for board games. Add your shelf by scanning a barcode or snapping the box, tell it who’s at the table and how long you’ve got, and it recommends a game the whole group will enjoy. Then it teaches the rules out loud and referees as you play, citing the exact rule when a question comes up, so nobody spends the evening flipping through a rulebook.

At the café, store, or club

Venue mode puts the same game master on every table. Customers scan a QR code to browse your shelf, check in on a live engagement board (with a big-screen view for the room), and play with your AI game master without installing anything. You pay for the venue plan; your customers play free. Inventory and waitlist tools, custom branding, and marketing tools round it out, so more tables fill and stay longer.

Why we built it

Table GM is where a lot of our thinking about narrative, engagement, and feedback loops gets tested before it shows up in client work. It’s also a working example of the layer we build for organizations: knowledge management, onboarding, and enculturation.

A shelf of games is a body of institutional knowledge, and the game master is how it gets found and used. Teaching a new game to a mixed table in a few minutes is onboarding. House rules and the way a regular group plays are culture, and the game master carries them so they don’t leave when a person does. Get everyone playing, keep the group together, settle questions without stalling the room: that’s the job in a new-hire program, a workshop, or a client’s LMS, too.

The AI suggests. The table decides.

Put Table GM to work.

Questions, a walkthrough, or a fit for your team — one conversation sorts it out.
